(Taylor, MI) – Councilman Jeff Lamarand announced that he was entering the race for Mayor of the City of Taylor.  “Too many years, too many wrong decisions, and too much waste at the taxpayers’ expense, has influenced me to seek the most vital position in Taylor.” the Councilman stated.

Lamarand added, “The time has come for Taylor to head in a new direction.  For thirty years this city has endured the same old politics.  Now, during this difficult financial crisis, our residents, city employees, and businesses need real leadership that will take a positive, proactive approach.  We need immediate short term financial restraint and long term planning to survive and prosper.”
